All Abilities Kids Storytime

April 19, 2019

All Abilities Kids Storytime continues this month 10am on Friday April 19th.

The All Abilities Kids series of programs at Red Hook Public Library has been designed for children and teens who have intellectual, cognitive and/or developmental disabilities. At All Abilities Kids Storytime, we share a story orally and visually using a felt board. We sing songs together,  and enjoy an adaptive craft project.

At Red Hook Public Library, we believe caregivers and parents are the best judges of a child or teen’s interests and abilities; thus, the only age restriction is that participants must be under 18 years. Space is limited, so registration is required. All Abilities Kids programs take place in our third-floor Community Room which offers a quiet environmental with reduced sensory stimuli.  If you’ve been hesitant to try library programs with your child, give All Abilities Kids a try.

If your child or family would benefit from visiting the library and the program space at a time prior to the program, please contact Amy. She will happily arrange a time for your family to experience the space and the materials when no one else is present.
