Let’s Talk: Life - War Ink @Red Hook VFW

May 24, 2018

Red Hook Public Library introduces a new series of community conversations about issues that matter to you called “Let’s Talk.” The first event, “Let’s Talk: Life” takes place at 6pm on Thursday, May 24th at the Red Hook VFW.

This special event features excerpts from a collection of filmed interviews called “War Ink” which showcase veterans and the meanings behind their tattoos.  It evokes feelings of honor, sacrifice, hope, and purpose. The entire series is available for viewing online at warink.org, and will also be available at a special viewing station in the library throughout the month of May.

The Red Hook VFW is located at 30 Elizabeth Street in Red Hook Village. As there is a bar on site, this event is open to adults over 21 only. There is no charge to attend. We hope you can join us in honoring our local veterans, hearing their stories, and sharing our thoughts on the subject of Life. Future programs in this series are scheduled later in the year and include Let’s Talk: Liberty, and Let’s Talk: Pursuit of Happiness.
