All are welcome to stop by and check out the newly refurbished Teen Room at Red Hook Public Library from 2:30 to 4:30 pm on Thursday, June 7th. Refreshments will be served.

In the course of preparing a space dedicated to teens the library has relocated all of its adult DVDs and audio books, polled teen patrons on new seating and decor, and expanded its teen collection. The new space is a brighter and more comfortable hangout, with new games and a bulletin board the teens can control. The goal is to provide a safe and constructive place for teens to spend time, study, connect, to encourage literacy, and provide needed resources.

Teens at Red Hook Public Library are eligible for independent Teen Access Cards, which can be obtained at the main desk by showing their school or other ID.
