To donate books, DVDs, equipment, and other materials to the library please contact us. While we welcome donations of new or nearly new books, we do not always have room to store larger book donations or older items, so it is best to call before loading up your car!
The library is always seeking financial donations to help us provide the best possible service to the community. Our address is: Red Hook Public Library, 7444 South Broadway, Red Hook, NY 12571. Checks may be made out to Red Hook Public Library.
Thousands of people come to Red Hook Public Library each year to take part in hundreds of programs, share a wide range of items and have fun 52 weeks of the year. Our small staff can’t make it happen alone – we rely on a talented group of volunteers who generously donate more than 600 hours of their time each year, sharing their incredible skills and enthusiasm to make the library the place to be.
If you’re interested in helping the community of Red Hook connect to a wide array of resources, and want to share the joy of reading and learning with others, consider volunteering. There are many ways to be involved – from helping to run special events, to leading programs to gardening to shelving or light clerical duties.
We’re looking for wizards, explorers, sages and other curious folk to be a part of our dynamic team.
See the attached volunteer form and let us know how you’d like to rock the library!
