Join Dr. Michael Conrad as he leads us on a historical and geological journey through California's Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains. This beautiful, rugged landscape long enticed Paiute Indians, gold miners, mountaineers, and fishing enthusiasts. Learn about the Long Valley Caldera, one of the largest volcanic hotspots in America, and Mono Lake-an ancient inland saltwater lake. This talk is organized as a travel monologue with informative details interspersed throughout.

The presentation will be indoors at St. Margaret's (red building behind Holy Cow's).
