Book Reading/Signing - Our Darkest Hours: County Leadership and the COVID PandemicBook Reading/Signing - Our Darkest Hours: County Leadership and the COVID Pandemic – Book Reading/Signing with Dutchess County Executive Marcus J. Molinaro, Ulster County Executive Patrick Ryan, and Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus. Our Darkest Hours: New York County Leadership & the COVID Pandemic was commissioned by a bi-partisan group of New York’s county executives who were on the front lines of the global public health emergency. Three of those county leaders from the Hudson Valley will read from their riveting first-person accounts to provide a glimpse into the fear, struggle, triumph, and pain that local leaders faced as they work to protect their residents from the invisible and insidious enemy virus. Two other authors will be on hand to talk about the public policy responses at the state, federal and local levels, from the county perspective. Oblong Books will be on hand with books for purchase. All proceeds from the book will be donated to Feeding New York State, which supports the state’s ten regional food banks. Presented by Red Hook Public Library. This event will take place at Red Hook VFW, at 30 Elizabeth St, Red Hook, NY 12571.
