Calling All Artists!
In celebration of our 125th birthday, the Red Hook Public Library is creating a commemorative library card. We need YOUR help designing it!
What does a library card mean to you? Enter your design for a chance to have your artwork featured in a limited edition RHPL library card.
One winning design will be selected by a committee of representatives from the Library Board and staff. The winning design will be announced on October 15th. See below for rules of entry:
- Submit your design by September 30th.
- One entry per contestant
- All photos and/or illustrations must be original works created by you
- The Red Hook Public Library is granted the right to reproduce your work on a Library card when you submit
- Designs can be horizontal or vertical
- Designs must incorporate the 125th birthday, reading, and/or libraries
- Words and numbers can only be incorporated as graphic elements
- Submissions with incorrect spelling, grammar, or copyrighted images will be disqualified
- Submissions may be any medium (illustration, pen, photography, etc.)
- Computer-generated images are acceptable as long as they are original (no clip art)
- Do not include your name within the border or any other part of the image
Please submit your designs by either bringing it into the library or emailing director@redhooklibrary.org. Only one winning design will be selected by our Board and staff.
