Inspire Studio

Welcome to Red Hook Public Library’s Inspire Studio

The Inspire Studio, located on the Library’s 3rd floor behind the community room, offers a dedicated space for Red Hook patrons to produce podcast and other audio content to support their learning and creative pursuits. Whether it’s your first project or your hundredth, the Studio is ready to help you bring your ideas to life.

RESERVATIONS: 

  • The studio facilities are available to Red Hook Public Library card holders, aged 13 and above. A valid library card must be presented at the time of check in along with signed Inspired Studio Terms of Service.
  • Patrons may reserve up to six hours of studio time per month, as available.
  • To make a reservation please call 845-758-3241 or visit our booking page. Studio use is not available on a walk-in basis. Users must arrive within 15 minutes after a reservation’s start time.
  • Please note that booking a time does not mean that you have a reservation. You will receive an email when your reservation is confirmed.
  • Patrons must check in at the main circulation desk to pick up the key to the equipment.

DISCLAIMER:

  •  All general behavioral guidelines for the Library apply.
  • Studio users are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the equipment and software in the studio. Watching the orientation video is required for first-time users.
  • Users may save their media to a private cloud server or must bring their own large-capacity storage drives (USB recommended) to save their work.
  • The Library is not responsible for any valuables left unattended.
  • The Red Hook Public Library is not responsible for any loss or damage of any kind to media that is being converted. Patrons assume responsibility for copyright infringement violations that occur if copyrighted media is duplicated.
  • Patrons will be held responsible for any damaged or missing items.
  • You are responsible for any damage to equipment or space. Please let staff know immediately if any equipment is missing, damaged, or not working properly.
  • The Inspire Studio equipment may not be used to create materials that are prohibited by local, state, or federal law; unsafe, harmful, dangerous, or that pose an immediate threat to the well-being of others; inappropriate for the library environment; and subject to copyright, patent, or trademark protection.
  • No food or drink is allowed in the Studio.
  • The library and its staff are not liable for any loss, damage, or expenses sustained by users due to the utilization of services, equipment, software, advice, or information.
  • Library Equipment cannot be removed from the Inspire Studio.
  • I understand that Red Hook Public Library staff will not always be in the Inspire Studio when the equipment is being used. 
  • Recordings made in the studio are not sponsored by or made in partnership with the Red Hook Public Library, all views expressed during podcasts are the views of the users and are not endorsed by the Red Hook Library
  • Supervision of the Studio by library staff does not constitute knowledge, or acknowledgement, of the final use of any product created, nor of the lawful status of said products.
