Volunteer

Thousands of people come to Red Hook Public Library each year to take part in hundreds of programs, share a wide range of items and have fun 52 weeks of the year!

Our small staff can’t make it happen alone – we rely on a talented group of volunteers who generously donate hundreds of hours of their time each year, sharing their incredible skills and enthusiasm to make the library the place to be. Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers!

If you’re interested in helping the community of Red Hook connect to a wide array of resources, and want to share the joy of reading and learning with others, consider volunteering. There are many ways to be involved — helping with special events, programming, gardening, tutoring, shelving, clerical duties, and much more!

Interested in becoming a volunteer? We’re looking for wizards, explorers, sages and other curious folk to be a part of our dynamic library team. Have a special talent you’d like to offer? Let us know!

Applications to join the team are accepted at any time. Complete the application and send it in to Lori@redhooklibrary.org.

Become a volunteer: Download our Adult or Youth Volunteer Application form and let us know how you’d like to rock the library!
