Our Mission:
The Friends mission is to fundraise and advocate for Red Hook Public Library (RHPL) in order to supplement and enhance library services, programs, and initiatives.
How we support RHPL:
The Friends primarily fundraise through bi-annual book sales and other targeted fundraising for special projects and initiatives. Additionally, the Friends provide volunteer support at various Library and community events.
Friends Book Sale
In 2025, the Friends will host two book sales at the library: 1) on Apple Blossom Day, May 9, and 2) Saturday, December 5
The Friends will also be selling books at Lasting Joy’s Spring Market on May 3, 2026.
Book sales are made possible by your generous book donations. Donation days will be listed on the Library’s calendar. Please do not leave donations at the Library outside of designated donation dates and times.
