All Abilities Teens Science
January 10, 2020 –
All Abilities Kids Science continues this month 10:30 am Fridays January 10th & 24th!
All Abilities Kids Science is designed for children and teens who have intellectual, cognitive and/or developmental disabilities. At All Abilities Kids Science, we ask questions and test our hypotheses with adaptive scientific experiments and projects. Every All Abilities Kids program uses a visual schedule so participants can track our activities.
At Red Hook Public Library, we believe caregivers and parents are the best judges of a child or teen’s interests and abilities; thus, the only age restriction is that participants must be under 18 years. Space is limited, so registration is required. All Abilities Kids programs take place in our third-floor Community Room which offers a quiet environmental with reduced sensory stimuli. If you’ve been hesitant to try library programs with your child, give All Abilities Kids a try.
If your child or family would benefit from visiting the library and the program space at a time prior to the program, please contact Amy. She will happily arrange a time for your family to experience the space and the materials when no one else is present.
We offer story times and other activities for children, teens, and adults, including several book discussion groups. Check our program calendar or call the library at 845-758-3241.
