In costuming, creativity is unbounded! As part of Red Hook Public Library’s summer-long partnership with Cocoon Theatre, teens will have the opportunity to learn sewing and engineering skills as they unleash their creative visions for a live theatrical performance.

Costume Studio takes place from 2-4pm every afternoon Monday, July 29 through Friday, Aug 3 . While designing and sewing costumes for the final performance of the summer-long Red Hook Grows Up project, teens will acquire basic to intermediate machine sewing skills and learn about simple drafting and patternmaking. No prior sewing experience is required.

All materials will be supplied including sewing machines; however, if you own a machine please bring it. Registration is required because space is limited.
