In tandem with the NaNoWriMo organization-- which stands for “National Novel Writing Month”-- Red Hook Public Library will be holding open hours in the community room on Thursdays in November from 4:30 to 6:30 PM for writers in need of a place to plug in and tap away at their projects.  

The NaNoWriMo community espouses on the idea that anyone can write a novel, and uses both inspirational essays from published authors and the joy of shared effort as motivation for their participants, which includes both first-time and veteran writers. Red Hook Public Library is a cozy place to sit and work even outside of the open Write-In hours. You are welcome to bring food and drink into the community room space.
