Red Hook Public Library invites you to join us at 5 PM Tuesday October 9th at Hardeman Orchards (postponed from the 2nd due to rain) for a special apple orchard tour with a book discussion to follow.

Learn about the apple growing process, cider-making, and the Hardeman family farm, all while enjoying the beautiful Hudson Valley and crisp fall weather. The suggested book, A family place : a Hudson Valley farm, three centuries, five wars, one family by Leila Philip intimately tracks a Hudson Valley family farm’s history over multiple generations.

Attendees will meet at the Hardeman Farm Store located on Route 199 for the guided tour and a discussion of the book will follow. Hardeman Orchards is located at 193 West Market Street. The program is free and open to the public with registration required. Call the library to reserve your spot.
